Introduction
Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre is a modern, multi-functional leisure facility that includes a fully equipped gym, a 60m indoor running track, fitness studios, changing rooms, reception area, and a café. Our client required a comprehensive, turnkey electrical solution to power and future-proof the facility, ensuring safety, energy efficiency, and full compliance with current regulations. We were engaged to provide end-to-end electrical services from design and planning through to installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover.
Scope of Works
Our turnkey electrical package included the following:
LV Distribution & Switchgear:

- Design and installation of main LV panel and sub-main distribution boards across all key areas
- Surge protection and metering systems integrated into the main panel
Testing & Certification:

- Full inspection, testing and NICEIC certification
- Handover documentation including O&M manuals, as-fitted drawings, and warranty pack
Lighting & Emergency Lighting

- Full LED lighting scheme with automatic daylight and occupancy control systems
- ALI-compatible emergency lighting throughout the building to meet BS 5266 standards
- Feature lighting in reception and gym areas
Small Power:

- Strategically placed sockets in all rooms and public areas
- Dedicated supplies for gym equipment, café appliances, and IT systems
Fire Alarm & Life Safety Systems:

- Addressable fire alarm system (L1 category) designed and installed to BS 5839
- Disabled refuge system and accessible toilet alarms
- Smoke/heat detection throughout plant areas
Security Systems:

- CCTV system with high-definition internal and external coverage
- Intruder alarm and access control system integrated into staff and admin areas
Data & Communication:

- Full CAT6 structured cabling installation
- Data outlets throughout office spaces, reception, and key facility areas
- Server rack and patch panel setup in comms room
Mechanical Electrical Supplies (M&E Coordination):

- Power and control wiring for AHUs, boilers, water heaters, and BMS systems
- Mechanical plant room support including isolators and local control
Testing & Certification:
